burned

*A my heart's fucked up 4 Nutella jar*

Beautiful burn did take a toll on me maybe because I'm not used certain kind of happily ever afterbut nonetheless it was definitely an unpredictable read. Did I wish the ending was different or completely off track, then yes I wish it was but since I'm not an author I think I'll just Count my blessings

Our story is told from entirely our main hero's pov, Reed West. A 28 year old high school English teacher and avid reader. Reed lives a normal mundane life until one summer he starts teaching a writing course, He catches her eye and the only thing he remembers is Auburn Lawrence.

Auburn Lawrence a 21 year old college student who has a passion for writing and reading stories also fighting a feeling that she dismissed as crush few years back, but seeing him again brings back old memories and maybe a forbidden love

Auburn comes into Reeds life effortlessly or more like a breathe of fresh air, after catching up on each other and talking endlessly about their favourite authors, books and general life Auburn and Reed find there way to each other even though it's a forbidden romance they take a dive whether the sink or swim or maybe drown

Sneaking around in a resentful town to starting a new flame. They'll get burned they'll burn on a open flame.

At first their love affair goes smoothly well they do have some up and downs like every other relationship but the ending what can I say I just couldn't swallow the ending nor did I expect it. It was really hard for me to digest it and honestly I felt like someone got a knife and slowly, achingly twisted it inside my chest until I couldn't read anymore . Word of advice this book is deceiving one minute it's smooth sail and the next it's a storm. As much as I loved the book I'm still grasping for a proper HEA. Also question to the author is this book based on a true story cause if it is, I swear on my Nutella I'll loose my shit.

single

                                  Bo$$

It's a reading fest so today I'll be reviewing single by lyra parish .

                            *3.8 Nutella jars*

Our story starts with Roxanne VanBuren a 28 year old single women with quite the resume,  president of VanBuren investments which she inherited from her father. Roxi or Katie as she calls herself does not do relationships she is the "Alpha Women". One night stands is all she requires and she follows it with 5 simple rules:

•First rule: Never give your real name.

•Second rule: Use the same fake name, so you    won't forget who you are.

•Third rule: Never bring men home.

•Fourth rule: Always have protection available.          Safe sex is important.

• Fifth rule: No cuddling. It gives false hope and    triggers emotions.

pretty straight forward and to the point ,personally I loved Roxi she was a no bull no shit kind of girl and like mentioned above the 'Alpha Women'. She got what she wanted and when she wanted it . Her goto for one night stands is online dating different website different hookup every time . Once she's done deleted and gone.

As we all know that it's now time for our hero Parker Williams a bar tender/ lawyer as a favour to his brother Parker decides to work a shift at the bar and that's where he meets our heroine with intangible attraction but while our heroine is in the process of a three way she definitely thinks about the hunky bar tender .

Finally as the story goes on Parker and Roxanne cross paths again not the one she was hoping for so will they give or will she move on with her life as usual,  mind you there is a cliffhanger at the end so if your faint hearted then prepare to hold on to your seat cause it's one hell of a roller coaster.

In the end it was a fabulous book I just wish it didn't end on a cliffy it kind of looked incomplete but definitely worth the read. Until next time my lovelies xoxo.

The deal

                           Family affair

Today I'll be reviewing the Deal by Z. Elizabeth. I was really excited about this book because I'm into the whole arranged family weddings like the cartel or something that the characters are bounded by Iove  mean how could you not get ecstatic so today's review is going to be quite the roller coaster.

                            * 3.9 Nutella jars*

Our story starts with the marriage of Nicole and Craig even though there families disapprove their union ,  Nic and Craig agree to stay married for an entire year until they finally inherit the money left in the will by there grandfather's. But behind all the disagreements and false acting nic and Craig both countdown the final months left of their marriage whilst trying to figure out why there grandparents had set them up. Since they can remember both of a characters were sworn enemies always told to ignore each other  , Never aloud to ask why nor figure out the family secret.

While it was pretty prominent our characters had strong feelings for each other ,  the charade of marriage was slowly becoming a reality ,  scared, confused and in denial our main heroes played the part and played it well though before the curtain drops and they take their standing ovation they soon discover that *One* family member that both of them had a bad feeling about could possibly be the cause of the feud.

Both of them discover the twisted lies behind the picture perfect faces and sadly their feelings get entwined.

                             One feud.
                             Two families.
                             One secret.

Overall I loved the characters and it's been a while since I've read something more attached to reality but my only itch was that I expected a little more because when you expect something such as contract marriages you make up an idea in your head and it's like this tug a war of hearts or something like the indebted series by pepper winters or something with a forced love kind of feel nonetheless I did enjoy the book and it was written beautifully.  Though my mind was adamant on a certain scenario this was a definite eye opener and I got to experience something completely new which is quite the treat. I would definitely recommend this book and I'm sure whoever reads it will adore the book.

I'd like to thank z. Elizabeth and the people at between the sheets blog until next time my lovelies xoxo :D

THAT MAN 5

                                          The End

Review time my lovelies and my word what an amazing experience.  I had the privilege of reading That Man #5 by Nelle L'Amour and if you haven't read the series I advise you get on it right now and don't worry my review is spoiler free so maybe I could pique your interest and hopefully you might just end up devouring the That man series.

                                  *4 Nutella jars*

In book 5 Blake and Jennifer are ready to walk down the aisle finally we get a happily ever after or wait do we *dum dum dum cue suspicious music*After quite the mellow drama Jennifer is finally ready to start her new life with Blake but sadly do they know that trouble or more like *WHAT THE NUTELLA IS GOING ON* is right around the corner in the shape of certain "old flames".

With Blake's family taking over jennifer's wedding day preparation our lovely heroine is fighting a battle whether to go ahead and let her soon to be mother in law have her way of making a spectacle of jennifer's big day or wanting to have a private affair in her parents back yard. With her mother in law winning the upper hand jennifer Is left to cheer on the sidelines from a hideous mermaid dress to blue sparkly eyeshadow, jennifer slowly slips away into a insecure and lonely place and to make things worse Blake's ex kat is partially organising the the wedding. Could it get any worse? Yes it does!.

Blake on the other hand is not only excited about marrying jen but knows the walk to the alter is going to be a bumpy one . And throw in an insecure jen with a hint of a psycho ex and a touch of rapist there you have a day inside Blake burns life. My heart ached for Blake in so many ways and as a character he's definitely matured and that's a a first as compared to jen she's still a bit immature to the point I want to knock some sense into her. But jen isn't the only one with a past let's say Blake has a huge skeleton in his closet too.

Through the ups and downs also a possible wedding maybe three I really enjoyed the the way the book ended and it's one of those books where you can take a sigh of relief and be a content with the ending .

Things I loved about the book:

•Blake Burns (lé duh!)

•Cat fight consisting of Blake's mum and a certain somebody  (hell ya)

•Grandma burns (unapologetic over sexed grandmother whose into mummy porn ;) )

• Mrs.choo Blakes assistant , small part but amazing character

• play list which includes Sam Smith stay with me and John legend all of me *some one sedate me now*

• Chaz jennifer's best friend's sassy gay brother let's say he bitch slapped a hoe who needed to be booted

• both jen's and Blake's dads were amazing.

what I didn't like :

• jennifer being immature and quick to judge also she cry's way to much

• why does jennifer always get attacked sexually we're talking 4 times and that's a lot.

• kat. ....... HATE HER

• I didn't get the final epilogue the one with jennifer and libby I just don't.

And that's it people.  Overall it was a fantastic read and I've been with Blake from the start yes it's  hard to say good bye but at least they left us on a good note . An epic series with a perfect slightly bumpy end but after all the mayhem and madness they found there happily ever after. I'd like to thank Nelle L'Amour for a fabulous book that will make you cry and swoon at the same time , and also for giving us the man That is Blake burns.  Also a big thank you to between the sheets blog for letting me participate in the blog tour and finally to my readers I love you . That's all my lovelies until next time xoxo.
