Where the sun hides by Bethany-Kris & London Miller

*4 Massacre Nutella Jars*

Incy Wincy Spider met the bad guys in the dark ,down came the blood while the Italians were all about , Out came the sun and the Russian began to think , So incy Wincy spider the game was about to begin.

Violet Gallucci or Principessa della mafia was living her life as much as her father the Don Alberto would allow but with the restrictions came an untapped rebellious side, which came to life on her 21st birthday, she wanted to bend the rules just a little bit. Coney Island was no man's land for a reason, she was just a child when the lines were drawn. He was the boy she couldn't remember but one accidental encounter triggered a whirlpool of events , loyalty was just another word for control so maybe it wasn't the Italians Vs Russians but rather Power Vs Control.

“ those who didn’t correct other’s lies were just as bad as those who spoke them. ”

Kaz or Kazimir Markovic at the age of 27 was a brigadier—or Captain of the Markovic Bratva v Zakone. Just like any other man in his line of work Kaz was unapologetic, with his not so sweet relationship with his dad or the Don Kaz finally figured out that his dad would always be a Don and never anything more. It was just another day until he saw her, He remembered her since their first encounter but she didn't. This was no man's land and before the chaos painted the streets red again Kaz would figure this out but what he didn't expect was to have the air from his lungs knocked out with just one look.

“ A lot could be said about a man that broke the law for a living, but more could be said about one that made sure he looked good while doing it ”

They were on opposite sides of the enemy ground one wrong move and history would repeat itself but this time a little bit more blood and a whole lot savagery.

A man should never come right out and say what he wanted or needed done, but rather, hint at it and let the other side draw its own conclusions .”

One look maybe was too much, One innocent suggestion lead to things that were wrongly perceived until they got their hands on each other and now it was worth till the end.

“ Fuck me, Kaz. P-Please, I need—”He didn’t let her finish the plea before he was moving behind her, forcing her legs wider. Rational thought fled as he stroked his cock once, twice, then positioned the head at her entrance. the second he was balls-deep in her, he couldn’t fight himself any longer, not when he couldn’t get enough of the way she felt, or how she was pressing back into him asking for more. Pulling out, he thrust back in almost immediately, stating a pace that had her crying out loudly. It was enough to pull at the jagged edges of his sanity. ”

[

My thoughts in the end:

I cannot begin to describe how fantastic this story was. The best part of it was that it wasn't repetitive which tends to happen when you read a certain genre be it organised crime or dark romances it all ends up repeating the same broken record again and again, But with this story I was absolutely in love from the plot line till then ending everything fell into place. Kaz oh my Kaz what have you done to me, the type of alpha that wasn't afraid to make his opinion kn9wn not just to show off but as a whole his personality was the I say it like it is type. He didn't show off his male bravado to impress or be cocky but just to call on bullshit when needed. Violet on the other hand was a 50/50 for me not saying that she was naive or just plain dumb but the girl did have balls my only issue or pet peeve was a scene regarding her friends *trying to keep this spoiler free*. Any who it's Russians Vs Italian's and it doesn't get much better then that, territories were divided but hearts couldn't it's a little forbidden and downright treacherous. From hidden motives to families fake support everything and everyone was Pandoras box and now the worse is yet about happen. A must read for any drama & action loving reader.

Q/A with Bethany Kris & London Miller

Q/A With the Queens of the
Mafia World 👠👑🔫

Q. How'd you two decide that Kaz & Vi needed to be put on the paper.

Bethany: I don't know how Kaz came to be, as he came from London's mind, but as for Violet, I sort of fixated on the kind of heroine that would work for his character. And as for how we decided to write, London emailed me one day with, "You bring the Italians. I'll bring the Russians." Haha.

London: Yep, what she said. That's literally how it started. But Kaz? I wanted to write a different kind of hero. For me, Kaz is more blunt, more bold, just more everything. I wanted Kaz to be larger than life, and I think we accomplished that.

Q. I love that with this book (and books that I've read separately by both of you) the side characters are very intriguing without overshadowing the main H&h. As a writer when you write secondary characters do you put in as much time in them as you do for main?

Bethany: I think I do, because I almost always want to give them a story at some point in time. Or I want to kill them off so I either want you to hate them or feel for their death. It just really all depends.

London: Oh definitely. I want the secondary characters to have just as much life as the main characters. The way I work, I set it up where anyone--except the ones that are killed off--have the potential to get their own storyline one day.

Q. I have to point this out, outta all the chapters in the book, chapter one was very powerful. It was like Pandora's box. How did you decide that scene needed to be the opening?

Bethany: You mean the Prologue with Vasily and Alberto? There was a reviewer that said something about the Prologue giving the reader a look at exactly who these people were and you could choose to believe it or not. And I think that sums it up really well. The graveyard scene was the first thing we knew had to be written, although London may remember why we wanted in there, as I don't.

London: Yea, I think that scene sets the groundwork for not just Where the Sun Hides, but for the rest of the series as well.

Q. Kaz and Violet's love is Forbidden but you've also included something else "forbidden" too *which I love you two so much for* I'm talking about Kaz's older Bro. How did that idea pop up?

Bethany: Not everything is as it seems with Ruslan-I mean that topic is there for him, but it's much more complicated than that.

London: Yea, what Kris said. There's a lot to Rus, and I remember going to Kris one day with an idea, and she liked it, but then a few weeks later, she came back with something even better, so here we are.

Q. After we're done with Kaz & Vi, will you guys have a spinoff or is that still undecided?

Bethany: Um … yeah, I think so. You'll meet some people in the second book that we'd like to write about, and probably Kaz's siblings.

London: There's not enough time in the world for all the books I want to write with BK. We have a running joke that we'll just become Kris Miller and write books under that name together, for the projects we want to do together I mean.

Q. Without a doubt you two write very descriptive and thorough background info to the T. And if anyone loves fiction with a relatable reality you ladies are the Queens. However, that being said, do you ever have moments where you're like "nope scratch that"? Or a story that you started but later decided it won't see the light of day?

Bethany: I rarely, rarely, cut material from my novels now. I've gotten pretty good at not adding in words or fillers to up my word count at the end of the day. And if I have put something in, it may seem sort of random, but there is a point to it all you'll probably find out later. I love foreshadowing. As for starting stories I never finished, I have about 3 in my files right now that are less than 10k of words each. That's sort of my limit-if I can't make it to 10k and still like it, it'll probably never go anywhere but an unnamed file in my desktop.

London: Sometimes, yea. I'll be writing a scene, for example, and first I'm thinking it's going one way and then I'll get a spark of an idea and delete it all. All depends on what I'm writing. I don't think I have any that won't see the light of day, I just have to write them.

Quick Fire.🔥🔥🔥

Tiger Shark by LP Lovell

*3.7 Room 12 nutella Jars*

She was the Alpha as far as the big boy world was considered but just maybe the Alpha has met a whole new breed of dominance. Control was everything even in room 12.

Georgia Roberts aka George worked her ass off to become a CEO but with her title so close she could just taste it that last thing she needed was a distraction one that was inconvenient. Being a Alpha in a man eat man world George had simple rules , rules that kept her at the top of her game all the time , play hard and work harder she was every women's dream and a lot of men's envy but one gutsy decision later George was now in uncharted territory.

"The thing is, no matter how accomplished we are, no matter how intelligent, or seemingly rational, beneath it all we’re just animals. "

Landon Banks part owner of Banks and Redford investment and billionaire Alpha. The world is his play ground and this enigmatic man doesn't stay in one place too long from Dubai to London he'd been everywhere but when a business deal brings him back to London for work he didn't expect to see a tigress. Her no nonsense attitude intrigued him, but once a simple meeting wasn't enough Landon decided to prowl around for a little while longer after all there's more to this women then her ice queen mask.

“Tell me, is it just me you dislike so much, or are you this delightful with everyone?”

It was primal , Savage and downright sinful. Alpha Vs Alpha would they eat each other's heart out or would masks hide all their secrets.

"The places that I go after dark, they feed every conceivable vice in every possible way."

One pass code , Two primal beings and Three warm bodies now it gets a little kinker maybe closed doors reveal more then they should or maybe chains were all part of the fun

" A low chuckle leaves his lips before he spreads me wider and thrusts his tongue inside me. A choked moan leaves my lips as my pussy quivers around him. The more I squirm, the harder he presses his face into my pussy, until I’m pushing back against him, craving more. Desperation is eating away at me, and I roll my hips back, fucking his face like a wanton whore."

[

My thoughts in the end:
I really enjoyed this book only issue was I guess at 71% of the book where the issue or big gasp moment in the book put me off, it felt unnecessary to me but then again I'm not an author and I have nor right. Some of you might ley it pass but I personally wasn't excited about it. Secondly Landon needs a pov especially if the guy is so alluring I need to know what's in his head like is he really that sexy or is he singing who lives in a pineapple under the sea *sponge bob square pants* ahem right then. I personally loved George even though if she was unreasonable at times but then again if Landon had done those things I might have sound it swoon worthy so yea that's on me. Overall watching George & Landon go head to head was exhilarating expecially the banter.

Book details & Info

Blurb:

London’s square mile is witness to a revolution, a new breed of business woman. They call us tiger sharks. We out-earn, out-work and out-play our male counterparts. We work the system, play the game and most importantly, win. In a city full of sharks only the most ruthless make it to the top of the pool.

The number one rule: never sleep with the boss. Ever. I had no intention of breaking it until I met my new boss. No matter how strong my resolve, Landon Banks can smell weakness like a shark smells blood in the water, and I’m bleeding.

The hunter becomes the hunted, lines start to blur, and I have a choice to make. Screw or be screwed. Of course, I never was much good at taking it like a bitch. Landon Banks will be learning to grab his ankles if I have anything to do with it.

Things are about to get interesting in the game of predator versus predator. Who will come out on top?

Thin Lines by Bethany Kris

THIN LINES

by Bethany-Kris

Donati Bloodlines #2
Publication Date: July 5, 2016
Genres: Adult, Organized Crime, Erotic Romance

Synopsis:

Calisto Donati
Calisto had never been a fan of pain, but he found it provided a certain relief.
It was a high that couldn’t compete with anything else he experienced. That was why he fought bare-knuckled, why he drove fast, despite knowing he might crash, and why he still enjoyed looking at Emma Donati—no matter her current status.
Pain felt good.
He might have been a fool for doing so, but as long as he got what he wanted from it, he didn’t really care.
When he fought, he was given release. When he drove, he was given freedom. When he looked at Emma, he was given memories.
All of them brought a certain level of pain. All three might kill him someday.
Calisto glanced at Emma, taking her in again when she didn’t know he was looking.
He realized then that only one might actually be worth dying for.

Emma Donati
Emma kept her gaze on the book in her lap, pretending like there wasn’t an argument going on across the room. She had become terribly good at acting like she didn’t hear.
Calisto watched her out of the corner of his eye while he argued on with Affonso.
She was too focused on Calisto to care about their fight.
His anger. The tightness of his jaw. Searing soul-black eyes.
The two men were not the same. They might have shared blood, but their hearts were entirely different. One man never let her out of his sight when he was nearby. The other acted like she didn’t exist.
This was what it was like, she realized, to be in love with someone she couldn’t have.
Calisto Donati would never be hers.
This wasn’t a fairy tale that would end happily.
They weren’t star-crossed. They were impossible.

WARNING: The first two books in the Donati Bloodlines Trilogy end on a cliffhanger, the third is a HEA.

Book Expert & Links

EXCERPT- WALK THAT LINE

"Of course I care.”
“A lot more than you should,” she pressed.
Calisto’s chest constricted with pain. He’d convinced himself long ago that it was only imaginary where Emma was concerned. He couldn’t possibly feel something for someone that didn’t belong to him and that he could never have. He just couldn’t.
“Thank you, Calisto.”
Those three, seemingly innocent words struck him straight in his blackened, worn heart. She’d spoken them so quietly, but surely. Confident, even, like she knew exactly what they would do to him.
It hurt.
God.
But he liked it.
Calisto liked that she acknowledged him and what he did. He had needed it, and while every part of him screamed how wrong it was, it made him feel like a fucking king.
Before Calisto could think better of his actions, he stepped forward and grabbed the door, shutting it without even looking out to see who might be watching. Emma’s enforcer must have been around somewhere, but was he close enough to see?
Calisto was close enough to Emma that the silk of her dress brushed against his arms. He could smell the hauntingly sweet perfume she wore, and he took another breath, wanting to have more of it soaking into his lungs.
“Where is your driver?”
“Carter is at a table,” Emma told him softly. “He’s ordering for us. I told him I would invite you out to eat with us.”
Calisto watched her mouth move, and the way her two front teeth peeked out through her upper lip. It was still a goddamn tease. He still hadn’t gotten this woman on her knees below him like he’d wanted to.
Jesus.
Why was he walking on this tightrope again with her?
“We can’t do this,” Calisto murmured.
Emma’s bottom lip disappeared beneath her teeth. “We’re not doing anything, Cal.”
“We are.”
It didn’t have to be labeled to be something.
It still was.
“Thank you for reminding me that I wasn’t alone,” she said.
“You’re not, Emmy.”
“Not when I have someone who cares watching out for me, right?”
Calisto knew better, but he snagged Emma’s wrist in his palm and held tight. The heat of her smooth skin siphoned straight into his bloodstream, like a shot of adrenaline right to his heart.
It was bad, but it was right.
It was good, but it was wrong.
“Right?” she asked again.
Her green gaze, jaded with pain and seeking something, watched him with an understanding that he didn’t know how she had gotten. He’d been careful with her, not wanting to bring her too close but never keeping her too far away.
Clearly, Calisto hadn’t been careful enough.
“Right,” he finally said.
Emma took a tiny step closer, her heels clicking on the tile floor. Her warm breath washed over his jaw when she tilted her head upwards so that she could stare at him again.
“We’re not doing anything,” Emma said so quietly that he strained to hear. “Someone has to know we’re doing something for there to be anything, Cal.”
“I’m not sure if I want to walk that line, Emmy.”
“Liar.”
Calisto’s jaw ticked. “I—”
“Liar, you do. Because you care.”
He didn’t even get the chance to blink before Emma lifted up on her tiptoes, and pressed her mouth to his. For a quick second, Calisto was stunned. All he could feel were her silken lips covering his, and her hand fisting into his jacket. He couldn’t think beyond the sweet-smelling perfume that reminded him of candied cherries, or the emerald eyes watching him, demanding he deny her what she was asking for.
How could he deny her?
After everything, how was he supposed to do that?
Calisto was far too selfish to stop Emma or to push her away. He cared too much.
When she grabbed his jacket tighter and pulled, making him stumble into her warm body, Calisto was gone. His one hand landed to her waist while his other tangled into the chignon at the nape of her neck. He pushed her backward until they came to stop against the door.
Emma laughed—breathy and low—against his cheek.
It made him fucking ache.

Synopsis: Calisto Donati
She was just a woman. That’s what Calisto wanted to tell himself; that’s what he wanted to believe. Emma was nothing more than a woman. There were other women for him to want. To obsess over.
It couldn’t be Emma Sorrento.
Not for Calisto.
She was taken.
She was claimed.
She was not his.
In a few days, Calisto would hand her off, and that would be that. He wondered why it wouldn’t be that easy to let her go.
What good had saving her done?
He had simply taken her from one monster to give her to another.

Emma Sorrento
Emma slid on her mask. All someone would need to do was look close enough to see what was really beneath the sheer falseness of her smile.
At the other end of the table, Emma found her lies staring her right in the face.
He smirked.
And winked.
Calisto Donati was her worst mistake, her greatest shame, and the one thing she still wanted more than anything. Emma could still feel him all over her, long after his touch and kiss was gone. In thirty days, her entire world had changed—he had changed her.
Emma had a feeling that if she played another game with Calisto, she would surely lose.
She had already lost once.
Wasn’t it enough?
